This year the annual Service of Remembrance will be held at the Cenotaph on Whitehall on Sunday 10 November 2024. Are you a former Rifleman, Light Infantryman, or KOYLI? Do you want to take part in the parade? If so read and follow the instructions below.

About The Event
Application for tickets is via Regimental Associations. Our Association Secretary has been identified by the RBL as the point of contact for our association. The point of contact is responsible for:
- Submitting the association ticket request.
- Registering all individuals marching under your association.
- Ensuring all those marching meet the eligibility criteria (see below)..
IMPORTANT NOTE - The Association Secretary will upload details to the RBL database.of all members who register with him The RBL will email individuals at the email address you provided. Individuals are responsible for completing all actions detailed in the email. Failure to comply with the RBL email will result in no ticket being issued to the individual
ELIGIBILITY
Associations are reminded to register individuals who adequately reflect the depth and breadth of the veteran community. The eligibility criteria is as follows:
• Ex-service personnel from the UK and the Commonwealth who have served the Crown.
• Retired emergency services personnel from the UK and Commonwealth who have served the Crown.
• Partners or first-generation family members of those who served in His Majesty’s Armed Forces and have died. This only includes the following:
- Wives, husbands, partners or civil partners
- Siblings
- Parents
- Children
• Those marching on behalf of their organisations that have historically played a significant role in times of conflict, supporting the Armed Forces community or who are key organisations in Remembrance.
• A carer of a veteran requiring wheelchair assistance.
Please note, this is a veterans’ parade, therefore serving personnel are not permitted to take part. Civilians cannot take part unless they meet the eligibility criteria above.
If a carer is accompanying a veteran, they count as part of the 10,000 attendance-cap. Where possible, fellow veterans should assist one another for the duration of the march past.
CHANGES FOR THIS YEAR
During the ticket application, you will be asked to identify which group your association fits into. Please note, this year groups have changed in order to better identify those marching. The groups for 2024 are as follows:
• Army Infantry - veterans of Infantry Regiments
• Army Other - veterans who have served in the Army
• Families - associations or organisations that have a direct link to the Bereaved Families Network or represent civilians as victims in times of war
• Remembrance - those marching on behalf of their organisations that have historically played a significant role in times of conflict, supporting the Armed Forces community or who are key organisations in Remembrance
• Royal Air Force - veterans who have served in the Royal Air Force
• Royal Navy - veterans who have served in the Royal Navy
• Tri-Service and Retired Emergency Services - Tri-Service veterans within one association and retired Emergency Services personnel
• Youth
All columns will rotate positions on a yearly basis, with the exception of the Remembrance and Youth Columns. The Youth Column will continue to conclude the parade.
IMPORTANT DATES
1 May - All association ticket requests to be submitted. The Association Secretary has applied for 10 tickets to march in this years parade based on the applications from our Association members in previous years.
15 May - RBL to confirm 2024 ticket allocation to each association. Registration opens.
22 August - Deadline for associations to complete individual participant information. Registration closes.
30-31 October - E-tickets and joining instructions sent to participants.
