Two of Yorkshire's Valiant Sons Remembered During Dewsbury Freedom Parade


Memorial to the Fallen Peace Garden Dewsbury

Sjt John William Ormsby VC MM and Pte Horace Waller VC were remembered by The Riflemen of C Coy 3Rifles, Rifles D Coy, Rifles Cadets from the ACF, members of the Rifles, Light Infantry and KOYLI Association and they were honoured by the people of Dewsbury during the recent Freedom of Dewsbury. The Mayor of Kirklees unveiled 2 commemorative centenary paving stones on behalf of the citizens of Dewsbury in remembrance of their bravery during WWI. Cede Nullis
