New Faces and a New Venue for Lunch after Regimental Memorial Service at York Minster

Rifles LI & KOYLI Memorial Lunch 2017 at York Racecourse

On Saturday 7 Oct 2017 York Minster fell silent as a pair of buglers; Craig Rosser and Kirk 'Bear' Richardson, from the LT Div & Rifles Veteran Buglers Association sounded Last Post and Reveille during the annual Regimental Memorial Service in the Regimental Chapel in York Minster. The three Regimental Standards: KOYLI; LI and RIFLES, were marched through the Chapel by Standard Bearers: Brian Clayton, Robert Smith and Colin Cranswick and handed to Padre Andrew Martlew for the duration of the service. At the end of the service they collected the Standards before marching them out of the Chapel and standing guard at the Chapel entrance. Robert had never carried a Standard before and he was faultless in his role as Standard Bearer, well done.
