We have been informed by Godfrey's son the Godfrey passed away on 20th November 2017 aged 90. Godfrey served with 1KOYLI and 2LI. Our condolences go out to Godfrey's family at this sad time for them. Your duty done Godfrey Rest in Peace at the final RV. Cede Nullis.

The funeral arrangements are:

Date and time - 18 Dec 17 at 1200hrs

Location - The Garrison Church, Homefield Road, Colchester, Essex, CO2 9ND

Bugler - Family have requested a Bugler from the Buglers Association

Standard Bearer - Family have requested a Regimental Standard Bearer

Association members are welcome to attend.

Given the distance and if there are sufficient members who which to attend it may be possible to organise a minibus. It would be an early start approx. 6am to ensure arrival in time for the service. Any member interested is requested to contact Maxine in the Rifles Regional Office Pontefract before close of play Mon 11 Dec 17.
