Norman Richard William Draper 1LI

Photograph of Norman Draper late 1LI

In a packed Dewsbury Crematorium on Tuesday 6 March 2018 former members of 1LI; Standard Bearers from Taunton, the North East and Pontefract joined family and friends of Norman to say their goodbyes.

3 Light Infantry Standards led the cortege up the drive of the entrance of the crematorium where the veterans formed a guard of honour. Light Div and Rifles Veteran Buglers Association Bugler Craig Rosser, also former 1LI, played High on a Hill as Norman's coffin was led into the crematorium.

In the service we learnt of Norman's love of the Army, his sense of humour and the love and devotion he had for his family.

Our condolences are with Norman's family and friends at this sad time. Rest in Peace Norman in the Final RV with your brothers-in-arms.
