CSjt Tommy Marriner Late DLI 5LI and 8LI

It is with sadness that we have to report the CSjt Tommy Marriner late DLI, 5LI 8LI passed away peacefully at home on 26 Mar 2018 aged 76. The thoughts and condolences of all members of the Association are with Tommy's family at this very sad and difficult time.

As the bugle sounds No More Parades and you take your place in the Final RV, Rest in peace "Tommy". Cede Nullis.

Tommy enlisted into the DLI on 5 Jan 1960. He later went on to serve with 5LI and with 8LI as the Officers Mess Manager. Tommy lived in the Caretakers flat in the TA Centre Wakefield with his wife Maureen who was the Caretaker. Sadly Maureen passed in 2016.

Funeral Arrangements:

Date and Time - 2nd May 2018 at 1340 hrs

Location - Pontefract Crematorium, Wakefield Road, Pontefract

Family have requested no Bugler, no Standard Bearers, no Association members

Donations to Donations to MS Society Wakefield and District.

The office is generally unmanned as there is no Internet, landline or answer machine.  The Association Secretary visits the office twice a week to collect the mail and for any pre-arranged appointments.  The Association Secretary can be contacted on the mobile number or by email.
