Information and photographs for ALCpl FT Higgs KOYLI who received the King's Commendation for Brave Conduct (KCBC) in 1946 and 2Lt HNG McLeod KOYLI who received the Queen's Commendation for Brave Conduct in 1965. Warrant officer currently serving with 6 Rifles at Dorchester is working on a project to research all the King's/Queen's Commendations for Brave Conduct (KCBC/QCBC) and the current Queen's Commendation for Bravery (QCB) awarded to The Rifles and the antecedent regiments - a total of 53 awards.

A/LCpl Frederick Thomas Higgs, KOYLI, was attached to HQ 146 Inf Bde, 49 (W Riding) Division. He moved to the Z (T) reserve 16.6.1946.

2Lt HNG Mcleod was awarded the QCBC for his bravery at an ammunition vehicle fire in Aden in 1965.
