Col (Retd) Brian Denney TD DL

The funeral of Colonel Brian Denney TD DL took place at All Saints Church Harewood Park LS17 9LG at 1200 on 11TH February. The service, lead by Rev Andrew Martlew, celebrated the life Colonel Brian. His family and friends were joined by Civil, Civic, Military dignitaries and Officers from the 4 KOYLI Retired Officers Club.

Adult Instructors and Cadets from E Coy (Rifles) Yorkshire (North and West) ACF and The Commanding Office and Riflemen from 8 Rifles were in attendance. Both organisations were very close to Colonel Brian's heart.

6 Buglers from the Rifles and the Lt Div and Rifles Veteran Buglers Association travelled from around the country. They played High On A Hill, a favourite of Colonel Brian, as well as sounding Last Post and Reveille. Standards from The Rifles, Light Infantry, KOYLI and Lord St Oswald's Royal British Legion Sub Group provided a guard at the entrance of the church. Members of Y Coy 8 Rifles provided the bearer party and ushers in the packed church.
