Today I had the honour to be the KOYLI Standard Bearer at the funeral of Don Lochrie the last KOYLI In-Patient at The Royal Hospital Chelsea.

The funeral was held in the chapel of Royal Hospital Chelsea. Don’s Granddaughter Nicky and her Aunt Maggie were joined by Don’s fellow In-Patients and his friends. Capt (Retd) Dickie Dutton represent the KOYLI at the very touching service.

Afterwards we retired to the Pensioners Club to raise a toast to Don. RIP Don Cede Nullis.

Our thanks to Major Philip Shannon MBE, Captain of Invalids, the RSM and In-Patients for the warm welcome they extended to us.
