'From Norway to Burma' a new book about the KOYLI now available

A new book about the KOYLI during WWII, written by Roger Holgate, whose father served in the 9th Battalion The King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry during WWII, is about to be published.

The book is titled 'From Norway to Burma' The King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry in the Second World War 1939 – 1945, and is published by Pen and Sword Military Books. Follow this link to the publisher's site https://www.pen-and-sword.co.uk/From-Norway-to-Burma-Hardback/p/51940

Roger Holgate, a retired College Lecturer, has spent much of his life studying warfare in museums and libraries. After being commissioned to write several articles for the history supplement of The South Yorkshire Times, he decided to explore his father’s experiences as a Quartermaster Sergeant in the 9th Battalion of The King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry during the Second World War and to document these memories. The project expanded as he delved deeper into the regiment's activities and uncovered a fascinating and largely unknown story.
