Maj (Retd) Kerry Richard Kerwan Harding Late KOYLI

Updated: Sep 15, 2020

It is our sad duty to announce that of Maj (Retd) Kerry Richard Kerwan Harding late KOYLI passed away on 20 Aug 2020 aged 84. Kerry served with KOYLI from 1956 to 1978 with postings in Cyprus, Malaya, and Borneo.

Our thoughts are with Kerry’s wife Mary Ann, his family, and friends at this sad time. Rest in peace, your duty done, as the bugler sounds ‘No More Parades’ take your place in the FRV with your brother KOYLI’s. Cede Nullis.

Mary Ann has written to say "He was surrounded by family and it was a very peaceful ending to a long and full life. Naturally, we are all devastated but have many happy memories to draw on. He was a wonderful man and I was so blessed to be married to him for 50 years".

A private funeral will be held in Reading on 4 Sep 2020. Kerry’s family have requested donations in lieu of flowers to Sue Ryder Care and/or Cardinal Hume Centre. Details and link to follow.

Anyone wishing to send cards or letters of condolence please send them to the Rifles Regional Office marked ‘FAO Family of Kerry Harding’ and the office staff will forward them to the family.
