It is with great sadness that I have to inform members that Mr Fred Hodgson, late 2LI passed away on 11 Dec 2021 aged 64.
Fred served with 2LI for many years raising to the rank of Serjeant. He was a hugely respected and popular member of the battalion always ready to help and advise members of the battalion less experienced than himself. Fred will be greatly missed by those who knew and served with him.
Our thoughts and condolences at the sad time are with Fred's wife Joy, his family, and his many friends.
As the bugle sounds 'No More Parades' and you take your place in the FRV, rest in peace Fred. Cede Nullis.
Association members are invited to the funeral and the wake.

The family have requested no flowers but donations maybe made in Fred's name to the SSAFA.
