Mr Ian Fowler - Late LI


It is with great sadness that I have to inform members that Mr Ian Fowler passed away on 05 October 2022 aged 66 in Blackpool.


Ian, originally from the Pontefract/Wakefield area is believed to have enlisted into B Coy 8th Battalion The Light Infantry in Pontefract. If any former members of 8LI knew Ian, would you please contact the Association Secretary to confirm his service.


Our thoughts and condolences at the sad time are with Ian's family, and his friends.

 

As the bugle sounds 'No More Parades' and you take your place in the FRV,

Rest in Peace Ian.

  • Date and time: 21 Oct 22 at 1030 hrs

  • Location: Carleton Crematorium, Stocks Lane FY6 7QS

  • Bugler and Standard Bearers are not required

  • Flowers are welcome

  • Association members are invited to attend the funeral and the Wake.

Anyone wishing to send cards or letters of condolence is requested to send them to the Rifles Regional Office at Minden House marked FAO family of Ian Fowler. Office staff will then forward them to the family.
