Opening of the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey

At the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month a party of our Association members joined hundreds of veterans from other Associations at Westminster Abbey for the opening of the Field of Remembrance by HRH The Duchess of Cornwall, The Rifles Colonel in Chief.

KOYLI plot representative was joined by Mark Bloom, and Russ Snood. Before the opening ceremony our members planted KOYLI Remembrance cross in remembrance of some of the former KOYLI members who recently passed away. Photos of each of the crosses were taken and will be passed to the families.

More photos taken by Russ Snood will be added later.

After the official opening of the Field of Remembrance the Duchess of Cornwall walked around all of the plots speaking to veterans who had travelled not only from across the UK but also from around the world.
