Standard Bearers Lead Wakefield Civic Parade


Three of the Rifles 5 Pillars; Reserves, Community and Association came together at Wakefield's Civic parade on Saturday 15 July.


Association Standards of the KOYLI, Light Infantry, and Rifles carried by Tim Humphreys, Rob Smith, and Colin Cranswick led The Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Wakefield, with Mayor's from across Yorkshire, The Deputy Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire, the OC of Y Coy 8 Rifles Major Ben Clare, senior officers from West Yorkshire Police, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, and representatives of local community organisations through the City centre to the Cathedral for the Civic Parade and Service.


Following the service in the Cathedral our Standard Bearers led the parade back to the Town Hall for a Civic Reception.

The office is generally unmanned as there is no Internet, landline or answer machine.  The Association Secretary visits the office twice a week to collect the mail and for any pre-arranged appointments.  The Association Secretary can be contacted on the mobile number or by email.
