Dennis Ingelson a former Durham Light Infantry, Parachute Regiment, and Royal Army Ordnance Corps celebrated his 100th birthday with a party in Hemsworth Council Community Centre with family, friends, and representatives from the KOYLI LI and Rifles Association (KLRA), and the Parachute Association.
Minden House Buglers sounded a fanfare as Dennis arrived at his surprise party and then delivered a first-class performance of bugling with a Bugle Breakfast and Regimental marches.
Pete Wilbond, former 2LI SNCO, and our association token DLI member chatted with Dennis about DLI days and then posed for a group photograph.
We are proud to have been asked to attend to represent the DLI Association. A joint KLRA and DLI birthday card was presented to Dennis.
